Al-Baqyat Al-Salihat Association is an Islamic charitable organization established by Alba al-Kahlawi, dean of Islamic and Arabic Studies at Al Azjar University Women’s College, who was named one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims in 2009 for her work on religion and women. The Association provides care in Mokattam free of charge for orphaned children and cancer and Alzheimer’s patients; sponsors charitable missions for destitute, widowed, and divorced women; and sends medical convoys to provide care in villages and slums across Egypt.
